We would like to welcome Sister Ashby as our new teacher. Sunday, she taught Ch. 9 Prophets of God. She did a great job teaching her first lesson!

Amos 3:7 "Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets."

Why do we need a living prophet today?

• He knows what we need as a church during this time period
• As you look at what has been taught in the past....the principles never change....just the vocabulary to fit our needs today
• Food Storage
• Family Proclamation (look at what is happening to families in the world today)

"We should do those things the prophets tell us to do. President Wilford Woodruff said that a prophet will never be allowed to lead the Church astray: If I were to attempt that, the Lord would remove me out of my place" (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Wilford Woodruff (2004), 199).
